Bone Broth

Here’s a recipe for bone broth. I found that using chicken foot makes the best bone broth but chicken wings do come in a close 2nd place if you are unable to find chicken foot.Ingredients

1 pound chicken foot

1/2 cup celery

1/2 cup carrots

5 green onion stalks

3 cloves garlic

1/2 large yellow onion

1 tbsp ghee or olive oil

1tbsp seas salt

1 tsp black pepper (optional)

1 lemon

Instructions

Soak chicken foot or wings in a bowl of cold water. Squeeze 1/2 lemon and drop into bowl.

Allow chicken to soak for 30 mins.

Remove chicken. Pat dry. Add chopped green onion, salt, pepper and ghee or olive oil

Fill large pot of water. Bring to boil.
Add chicken, carrots, celery, onion, garlic to boiling water. Squeeze other half of lemon. You can add more salt here for flavor.

Reduce heat to medium heat for 20 mins. Then switch to low heat for another 1-1.5 hour.

Allow to cool.. Strain and store in glass jars. Store chicken in a separate jar.. (If you are storing chicken foot to eat later..cut off foot tips). You can reuse chicken with meals or other soups.

Note: you want to see the meat falling off the bones and the parts of bone expose for a while before turning off. You’re bone broth should look like jello after 8 plus hours in the fridge. Jello looking broth offer the most healing because it contains the most collagen. If you’re broth doesn’t look like jello, it’s ok.. You’ll still get some healing but next time try boiling for a longer length of time or adding more bone chicken to your recipe. Happy healing!!!
